I may vomit if I have to read one more story in EDF’s slush about a spouse killing their cheating partner.
Seriously, is there anyone one on Earth that believes this is an original story that’s worth telling?

Was there at least one where the husband is a bumbling Inspector Clouseau type, and he keeps trying and failing to murder his cheating wife and her lovers, leading to hilarious slapstick results?
But what about stories where the spouse cheats their killing partner?
Ever seen that one before, hmmm? 
We got a few about a guy killing his nagging wife. Does that count?
Geez. Jordan, you toss out something like that and it’s almost like a gauntlet being thrown down! So, how to come up with an original story about a cheating spouse being killed by their mate? I’ll go ask the wife if she has any ideas.
And a strange and sudden increase in submissions occurs…
I must confess, there is truth to the gauntlet thing. How can I write that story and make it new? Black widow eating her mate? Wife sets cheating husband up with such a black widow?
What if she cuts off his penis? No one would ever think of that, would they?
Yay! My writers block is cured! Must write a “kill the cheating spouse” story. 
Actually I’ve never understood the sentiment to kill for that particular transgression, but if it makes Jordan happy . . .
