I haven’t read the book OR seen the movie, but here I am exercising my God given right to laugh while it is being mocked in this post.

Has anyone actually seen this movie? I’m 33 years old, white, heterosexual, male, and happily married. Is there anything in this movie for me?

I am a woman, heterosexual, also married, and around your same age. And I would only go if I got drunk and could throw popcorn at the screen.

Yeah. I have a feeling that Twilight is to teen girls what the Matrix was to teen boys with 1/10th the depth. Oh well.

Matrix had depth? Alas, it escaped me. I liked the first one though and I could watch Keanu Reeves non-stop for a whole day because I think he is good-looking.

Alas, I don’t think the kid in Twiligth holds any attraction for me. Just yuck. I know there are grown women who think that kid from Harry Potter is yummy and I’m sure for them 2 hours with a sparkling vampire might be mana from heaven but count me out.

The FIRST Matrix had tons of depth (the ship was called the Nebuchadnezzar remember, and that’s just one example.

The second two felt really rushed… like a First Draft, and much of the depth was lost.

Well, they are rushing two Twilight sequels through the pipes right now so you can catch the whole trilogy next year at some cinema. Maybe it could be fun. Like going to the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

Except I think the intended audience doesn’t have a sense of camp.
